IC-Test Engineer for Wafer-Level-Test-systems for Opto-ASIC (m/f)

We produce 8” wafers at our facility in Sargans and from these ASICs in the field of optical semiconductors in our own front and backend production.

The IC Test Engineer is the specialist for IC testing at wafer level (WLT). In cooperation with R&D and Production, the IC Test Engineer implements and optimizes test algorithm and ensures the proper operation of the Wafer Level Test System (Prober and Tester).
To assist in performing these duties we provide an excellent infrastructure and the successful candidate will be able to rely on a very competent and collegial environment.

Your responsibilities

Creating and maintaining WLT-measuring program:

  • Maintaining existing measuring programs and testing routines of Opto-ASIC at Wafer level
  • Creating measuring programs for new products in cooperation with the IC Design team
  • Involvement in the Chip development in terms of Design-for-Test and the creation of new testing concepts
  • Continuous improvement of the existing measuring programs in terms of Quality control, throughput and cost optimization following the production release instruction

Production:

  • Ensure successful and continuous operation of the WLT systems with regard to system uptime
  • Search, analyze and fix when production, quality or system problems occur
  • Support and train the production team in commissioning and using WLT- systems for a smooth and continuous production flow

New systems, outsourcing:

  • Specify and select new systems and relevant materials according product roadmap in close cooperation and support with production, R&D and purchasing
  • Evaluating und qualifying external suppliers and the appropriate solutions and in the case of outsourcing of processes manageing and supporting the transfer of technology

Data analysis, Quality control:

  • Monitoring measurement results for quality assurance
  • Statistical evaulation of measurement results for yield- and quality analysis and optimization
  • Supporting product development, -qualification and -characterization
  • Ensuring secure data storage of the measurement results
